High Nooners is the Adult Fiction Book Discussion at the Milton-Union Public Library. The group meets on the third Thursday of every month at noon. Call for more details at 937-698-5515.
Nativity Scenes from across the globe are on display at the Milton-Union Public Library. Belinda Wright has been kind to share her collection until midway through December. Each Nativity scene is unique as many are made with rare materials and from distant countries. Belinda has collected many Nativity Scenes over her many travels. Come to the Milton-Union Public Library and check out the scenes in the display case.
For December, the Evening Book Discussion will read 3 books. Members can read one, or all three! The meeting will be Monday December 12th at 7PM at the Milton-Union Public Library.
The December High Nooners book is "Comfort and Joy" by Kristin Hannah. This book is a great holiday read! The meeting will be the third Thursday of every month- December 15th 2016 at the Milton-Union Public Library.
The December book is "A Christmas Bride in Pinecraft" by Shelly Shephard Gray. The group will meet Tuesday, December 13th at 11AM at the Pearson House downtown.
The Milton-Union Public Library is honoring our veterans from October 15 through November 15 with displays and passive programming. Pictures of local veterans will be rotated during this time in one display case as well as military memorabilia from WWI and WWII. The library is happy the Miami Valley Veterans Museum agreed to share items now on display at the Milton-Union Public Library in the other large front door display case.
The Friends of the Milton-Union Public Library will meet Thursday November 3rd at 6PM. This month's meeting will include the annual friends appreciation dinner. Library staff and the community would like to extend their gratitude to the Friends for all they do to help the library.
Local experts will be offering 30-minute help sessions for those who need help with their computers. These 1-on-1 sessions can cover either software or hardware questions. Please bring your own laptop if you can, but library laptops will be available if you are not able to bring your own. Sign up is required, so please call the library at 937-698-5515 or ask at the front desk.
