Donations

Donations are accepted throughout the year.  The library accepts books that are in "very good" or "like new" conditions, current year magazines, DVDs, games, bubble wrap and padded envelopes.  Donation lists are posted periodically for specialty items to be used in programs.  All donated items not added to the collection will be placed on the free shelf for patrons to take home, free of charge.

The library cannot accept: damaged or mildewed books, encyclopedias, older magazines, CDs, cassettes or VHS.

The library would like to express gratitude to all of the generous donors who contribute materials, funds and time to the library on an ongoing basis. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.

The library would especially like to thank local residents Hubert Fine, Barbara Cress and their families for the bequests that made this website possible.  The annual support and donations from the West Milton Lions and West Milton Rotary clubs deserves special acknowledgement as well.  Grants given by the Dorothy Louise Kyler Foundation and the Miami County Foundation have made improvements to the library and its collection possible in the past.  The Miami County Foundation continues giving support to the library and new program opportunities by helping purchase laptops, a Wii station, games, projector, and a large recessed ceiling screen.  The library would like to thank Jo Ann Osborne for a recent bequest that allowed for updates throughout the library, especially in the Children's Room.

Donations and memorial gifts are reflected on the Donor plaques by the front door and in the Milton-Union Public Library Memorial & Donation Book displayed at the Main Street entry. Thank you for supporting the Milton-Union Public Library and its mission in our community.
