Tall Tales Book to Movie Discussion

Check out the selected book and movie of the month, take home, read and view, then join us to discuss.  Did you like it?  What did you think of the characters.  Is it based on the book and does it follow closely?  All meetings will be held on the front lawn of the library.  If inclement weather, meeting will be cancelled.

What Would You Do Book Club

Grades 3rd - 5th

Join Miss Wendy on the front lawn of the library every Monday during the Summer Reading Program at 6:30pm for the "What Would You Do?" Book Club. 

June:  Alone by Megan E Freeman

July: The Canyon's Edge by Dusti Bowling

We will read the book, explore and discuss the various situations and predicaments the main character faces in the story.

Enjoy a lively discussion over "The Wedding Dress" by Rachel Hauck with fellow book lovers.  Wednesday, June 9 at 1:00pm on the front lawn of the library.

Join Staci outside on the front lawn for an Evening Book Discussion over "Anxious People" by Fredrik Backman on Thursday, June 10 at 7:00pm.

"Something in the Water" by Catherine Steadman

Weather permitting, all discussions will be held on the front lawn of the library.  Mask are required and social distancing measures will be in place.   Books are available at the library in regular, large print, audio formats and through the the Ohio Digital Library and Hoopla.  If inclement weather, meeting will be held on ZOOM.  Email Kim at kbrubaker@seolibraries.org to receive the ZOOM login link.

"Saint X" by Alexis Schaitkin

Join Kim on the front lawn of the library for a discussion over "Saint X" by Alexis Schaitkin.  Books are available at the library in regular, large print, audio formats and through the the Ohio Digital Library and Hoopla. 

Join Staci outside on the front lawn for an Evening Book Discussion over "Educated" by Tara Westover on Thursday, July 8 at 7:00pm.

Enjoy a lively discussion over "Chasing the Sun" by Tracie Peterson with fellow book lovers.  Wednesday, July 14 at 1:00pm on the front lawn of the library. 

*Masks are required and social distancing measures will be in place.  In inclement weather, the program will be canceled.  

Receive three big Tetris pieces for each YA book checked out in April and place them on the giant Tetris board outside of the library's north entrance.  Team up with a reading buddy and make it a competition if you dare.  Let's see if we can get to the top!  Participants will be entered into a prize drawing at the end of the month.
