Come enjoy a different subject each week. Grades K - 6. No registration is required.
Thursday, June 6, 1:30-2:30pm, Birds of Prey program
with the Aullwood Audubon Center Prizes will be awarded.
Thursday, June 13, 1:30-2:30pm, The Planets with Hank Vaughan
Retired school teacher Hank Vaughan will present the eight planets of our solar
system using visual displays, hands-on activities and a craft. Prizes will be awarded
Thursday, June 20, 1:30-2:30pm, Chris Rowling
Local puppeteer, singer, and artist Chris Rowling will sing educational songs
with audience participation. Prizes will be awarded.
Thursday, June 27, 1:30-2:30pm, Minerals in our soil and water with Linda Raterman
Linda Raterman from the Miami Soil & Water Conservation District will discuss
our local water and soil and the minerals they contain.
Thursday, July 11, 1:30-2:30pm, Juggling with Robbie Scott
Robbie Scott will introduce the art of juggling by demonstrating with a variety
of objects and discuss the techniques for success. Learn and practice these same
methods with our local expert. Each participant will receive juggling balls and
instructions to take home. Prizes will be awarded.
Thursday, July 18, 1:30-2:30pm, Meteor Mania with Mike Manning the Rock Man
Learn about meteors: what they are, where they come from and where you find
them. See and touch samples and maybe win a door prize!
Thursday, July 25, 1:30-3:30pm Tie-Dye Day
This is open to all ages. A variety of colors will be available for the community to dye objects in.
For best results, washed items are recommended.
