The Milton-Union Public Library is honoring our veterans from October 15 through November 15 with displays and passive programming. Pictures of local veterans will be rotated during this time in one display case as well as military memorabilia from WWI and WWII. The library is happy the Miami Valley Veterans Museum agreed to share items now on display at the Milton-Union Public Library in the other large front door display case. The items are from local heroes who served our country from World War I to today. The museum is located at Troy in the Masons building and hopes to share their mission and motto, “Honor. Preserve. Perpetuate. They shall not be forgotten.”, with library visitors. The Milton-Union Public Library is proud to inform the community of this display in honor of Veterans Day on November the 11th. Those who have served in our armed forces are invited to drop in, see the displays, and identify themselves as veterans so local children and adults can send pictures and letters to the veterans in appreciation of their service. Our community is grateful for those who have served and to the Miami Valley Veterans Museum for all they do to preserve our local military history.
