Milton-Union Public Library will host a program beginning Tuesday, February 1st, that is sure to ignite the hunger for reading. This program, designed for ages K-5th grade, is as easy as pie...or, maybe breadsticks.
For each grade level, different requirements must be met:
K-2nd graders must read a book daily or have a book read to them and the title of the book must be recorded on the reading log.
3rd graders must read a book a week and record the title and author's name on the reading log. At the end of each book, write an alternative ending to the story OR write another chapter to the story. These must be at least two pages in length.
4th and 5th graders will be reading two chapters a day from a book of their choosing. Miss Wendy will have packets at the library with activities to be completed after each reading.
By the 28th of February, all activities and reading logs can be returned to the library and reviewed by Miss Wendy to receive a coupon for free breadsticks courtesy of Clark's Pizzeria!
