We are located in the path of totality for the upcoming April 8th Eclipse! We are offering programs for all age groups and a very special viewing party for the whole family. The library will be OPEN our normal hours on this date (10am to 8pm).
Starting March 4th, we will be giving away a limited amount of eclipse glasses for patrons to view the eclipse safely. Glasses will also be passed out at our eclipse programs as well as the watch party that will be hosted on the day of the eclipse. Only available while supplies last!
Upcoming Eclipse Events:
- All About Astrology: April 1st at 6pm, For teens, Learn about zodiac signs and what the "Big 3" in your astrological chart mean.
- Kids Eclipse Program: April 6 at 2pm, For ages 5-11, Join Evelyn in watching a few videos that explain the eclipse and creating a few eclipse related crafts, Don't forget to bring a black t-shirt to create a special eclipse shirt.
- Stillwater Stargazers Eclipse Program: April 3 at 6pm, For all ages, Join local experts (Stillwater Stargazers) in learning about the upcoming Solar Eclipse as well as our telescopes that are available for check-out.
- Watch Party: April 8th at 1:30pm, For all ages, Join us for a once-in-a-lifetime viewing party of the total solar eclipse! There will be activities for the kids, Kona Ice will be available for all to enjoy, and there will be a live-streamed NASA video in the multipurpose room for those who don't wish to be outside. Glasses will also be handed out during this event.
